You’re in charge; we listen first, you choose.

We believe that your healthcare is something you should be in charge of. Once you know your options, only you can make the best choices. Our role, at Morgan Dental Care,  as providers is to first listen to you:  what you are experiencing, what you need and what you want, answer your questions. We hope you will come to trust us as your advisors and consultants for dental health. We want to serve you by helping you explore all your options, with the pros and cons of each.

If it’s a smile makeover of just an enhancement or correction of a minor flaw in your smile that has always bothered you, be assured we will be able to not only find the best means to get what you wish for but also to create that smile with excellence. That’s because creating and enhancing beautiful smiles has been a passion of Dr. Morgan’s for decades. Not only has he helped hundreds of people achieve their smile goals, he has taken literally hundreds of hours of training at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world: places like the Pankey Institute, The Kois Center, (Spear) and studies under literally dozens of the world’s best cosmetic dentists.

If it has been a long time since you’ve updated your care, even if your mouth is in disastrous condition, we promise not to lecture, belittle or embarrass you; we promise not to say ‘should have’ or re-visit past choices.  We at Morgan Dental Care of the Portland Maine area believe that the best and only place to start on the road to dental health and perhaps to renewed self-esteem and an end to embarrassment is here and now.  We understand how difficult it can be sometimes to initiate the process of re-gaining lost health and appearance that you may have been putting off for years.  It may be due to fear or the cost or to your busy schedule.  But be assured we have worked with hundreds of others with these same problems and have solutions that will fit your situation.

Why choose a cosmetic dentist for your regular dental care?  Even if smile enhancements are the last thing on your mind or you just want basic general care; or to chew comfortably again, a dentist trained in cosmetic dentistry offers some advantages.  First, if you are going to need any restorative or reconstructive care, it will involve some changes to your existing teeth or replacement of missing ones.  Why not be sure, even if it isn’t your highest priority, that the result is aesthetically as pleasing as it can be?  It is a general principle of excellent dentistry that looks and function go hand in hand:  what looks right, works right; what works right, looks right.

Perhaps you’re among the millions of people who stay away from the dentist due to fear or anxiety; or you just find the process unpleasant…enough to procrastinate, maybe for years.  Perhaps your reason is you can’t see how you will fit a long series of appointments into your busy schedule.  If any of those fit you, sedation dentistry was made for you.  Sedation can make what was an unpleasant experience into one that is tolerable and easy.  It can make it possible, by combining all of your work into a single visit, to eliminate multiple appointments for extensive work.

It has long been known that the health of your teeth and mouth is an important indicator and component of your overall health.  But in recent months and years, that importance has been shown by intensive research to be much greater than previously imagined.  We now know, for instance, that the connection between infections in your mouth, particularly gum disease, the most common of all infections, is directly related to heart and artery disease, stroke, diabetes and other serious conditions.  A whole lot more than your teeth and gums are at stake if you allow infection to go unchecked.

The most common disease to mankind is periodontal or gum disease.  If you have teeth and you are an adult, you probably have some degree of gum disease.  In its earliest stages it can be readily controlled; in its later stages, it will do irreparable damage to the gums and bone supporting your teeth and put you at much greater risk for heart and artery disease, stroke, diabetes and other serious conditions.  We can accomplish most treatment non-surgically and comfortably with our use of lasers ultrasonic instruments and most of all, a team of highly trained hygienists who want nothing more than to see you achieve optimal health.

The team at Morgan Dental Care has been providing excellent dental care in Gorham for decades.  Dr. Morgan started practicing in Gorham in 1975 and has treated literally thousands of people since.  The team around him have likewise have extensive experience in this practice; some of them having worked here over 30 years.  We believe experience counts.

We, at Morgan Dental Care, your Portland Maine area dentist look forward to seeing you soon.
